Welcome to Tales from the Hydian Way! We’re extremely excited to unveil our brand new website!
Tales From the Hydian Way is a podcast and a community who love roleplaying, Star Wars, and games of all kinds.
Our chief desire is to help you make your games into stories worth remembering and retelling, from starting them on the right foot, to figuring out those little hang-ups that stall your plots. We want to bring people together through roleplaying and our passion for Star Wars.
This means all are welcome here from grognards to noobs to people that don’t know either of those words.
At the heart of our mission is that debate is fine, just don’t be a jerk. What we care about is sharing joy and creating a safe place where others are able to as well. If you like:

- Lords of the Sith

We look to what Disney has rebranded Legends (the old Star Wars canon) for our own stories. There are many ideas there for us to tell. We look to the new canon for inspiration and ways to tell stories haven’t been done before. While we like and cherish Legends, we are a group of realists when it comes to the amount of control we have (nobody fights the Mouse and comes out alive.) We move forward. We have a reinvigorated Star Wars franchise, we have RPG books that are incorporating it in massive fashion, and we have a renaissance in Star Wars lore and storytelling.
Here at Tales From the Hydian Way, our primary focus is the Fantasy Flight Games RPG. We have and will continue to try and get guests on the podcast to talk and share perspectives on it. We’re going to be doing articles and essays on how to make things run smoothly at the table as time permits. And don’t think we’ll be restricting our enjoyment and articles to just Star Wars RPGs! If Starfinder interests us we will probably bring it up, and you’ll also be seeing at least a tiny bit of movie and book interest on our site as well.
